Abstract

Postcultural anthropology, in its programmatic texts, represents a mixture of anthropological and non-anthropological (literary-theoretical, philosophical) concepts aimed at achieving the undeserved character of profoundness. The exegetic analysis of one postcultural notion demonstrates that it lacks the minimal inner coherence of thought; besides this, its external strategy – towards anthropology – is characterized by input, evaluating conditions that bear no necessary resemblances to anthropological practice.
