MUSEOLOGY AND ANTHROPOLOGY: CROSSING OF PATHS

Abstract

This paper examines relationship between anthropology and museology: from the period of the single discipline in the era when first anthropological/ethnographic museums emerged, followed by decades of overall separation, until - present anthroplogization of not only museology, but of the entire concept of cultural heritage protection. Paper also discusses the role of crisis in the development of both disciplines, as well as in their separation and anew integration.
