Rad predstavlja težnju da se pokaže kako se konstruisanjem slike sveta kao nesigurnog mesta, onog u kojem nam nepoznati ljudi sa kojima delimo isti prostorni i vremenski kontekst žele nauditi, zapravo predlaže odnos nepoverenja prema svetu, a strah od stranaca i poverenje nudi kao jedino rešenje spram opasnosti. Najprikladiji, za takvu vrstu razmatranja, među komercijalnim filmovima, pokazao se film Taken (2008), kojim je razmatrana komunicirana poruka u vezi sa "ispravnom" percepcijom straha i na osnovu kojeg je razmatran problem podeljene odgovornosti stranaca i žrtava za odigravanje nesreće ili tragedije.
