ATTITUDES TOWARDS TRADITION IN TEACHER EDUCATION UNDERGRADUATES

The main aim of this study was the examination and understanding of the relevant aspects of tradition which Teacher Education undergraduates hold as personally improtant. A sample used for the purposes of this paper consisted of 524 students. Instruments applied in the study involved a questionnaire for registering socio-demographic characteristics and the Scale for testing the students’ attitudes towards tradition, designed especially for the purpose of this research. Findings showed that there are statistically significant differences between students regarding their study profile and ethnicity. These findings have important social and educational implications regarding the characteristics of future educational professions.
