РАСКОШНИ ПРЕДМЕТИ ЈЕДНОГ БЕОГРАДСКОГ МУХАФИЗА: ИЗЕТ МЕХМЕТ-ПАША (1783-1784)

У последњих неколико деценија употреба луксузних предмета у Османском царству постала је врло привлачна тема за османисте и предмет многих студија које се односе на различите периоде, места и аспекте. Циљ овог рада је да се позабави наведеном темом и на примеру једног београдског мухафиза покаже каквим луксузним предметима је располагао и шта је са собом у Београд донео један припадник високих османских кругова (комади накита, одевни предмети, крзна, оружје израђено од племенитих метала и украшено драгуљима и други предмети). У раду су изнети резултати истраживања превасходно заснованог на подацима из заоставштине османског великодостојника, београдског мухафиза Изет Мехмет-паше (1723–1784), који је служио као велики везир у Османском царству два пута (1774–1775, 1781–1782). У фокусу су луксузни предмети који
су припадали њему лично и његовом домаћинству у периоду када је био на челу Београда (1783–84). Два пописа заоставштине који се чувају у Османском архиву Председништва државних архива Председништва Републике Турске у Истанбулу, а који су у раду коришћени, пружају увид у предмете који су затечени у
његовом дому у Београду када је умро. Највећим делом то су предмети које је Изет Мехмет-паша са собом донео у Београд, када је ступио на дужност, али се може претпоставити да су великим делом набављени на Балкану, с обзиром на то да је претходно боравио у Пловдиву. Међу његовим стварима налазили су се и предмети из Европе (као што су сатови), што указује на аспекте економских и културних односа између Истока и Запада и путеве међународне трговине који су пролазили кроз Београд. Употреба вредних и ретких предмета у служби статусних симбола одражавала је политичку моћ више османске класе Београда и друштвену диференцијацију међу Османлијама.
