Rad se bavi analizom urbane legende o šteku, prostoru u kome narkomani ubrizgavaju drogu, koja opisuje susret "običnih" ljudi i intravenskih narkomana. Rad opisuje, analizom legende koja kruži među narkomanima, definiše aktuelni odnos između navedena dva sveta, društvene norme i društvena pravila, težnje i potrebe narkomanske subkulturne grupe kao i druge funkcije urbanih legendi u subkulutiri narkomana što nam može pomoći da narkomane posmtaramo kao društvenu subgrupu i približimo sebi sliku o njima.
